Welcome to USA Super Heroes

INTRO TO USA SUPER HEROES

USA Superheroes was inspired by the tragic events of 9/11 and founded out of the desire to wake up the people in America to start using our God-given freedoms to love God, love each other, and come together and celebrate what we all have in common, possibly at the time of the most significant division in American History.

Wake up in the USA was written the day after 9/11. It was inspired by the sacrifices made that day by the First Responders and the unity that swept across our nation due to the events on that day. Tragedy always reveals who we indeed are as people and as a nation.

In the months following 9/11 we saw our nation’s churches fill up as Americans sought guidance and comfort from God like never before. Almost all of us knew someone who had lost a family member or knew someone who knew someone who did. It made us cherish the blessing of the people in our families even more. You would see American flags displayed on vehicles and flying on flag poles on buildings and homes all over America. We all reached out to friends and strangers, spreading goodwill and expressing love for one another. For the first time in a long time, we were the United States of America, genuinely united by the values we all share. God, Family, and Country. 9/11 also made it clear who was willing to give their lives for the rest of us to serve our communities and our nation to protect those God-given freedoms that we are blessed with here in America.

They are our nation’s First Responders and Military personnel. For decades we have read about the adventures of Superheroes like the Avengers and the Justice League in comic books and have watched them on television and in movie theaters as they have dedicated their lives to fighting against evil, protecting humanity from unimaginable threats, and saving us from unexpected tragedies. The reality is that they are characters of our imagination.

The real Superheroes in America have always been our First responders and Military personnel. They are the ones who have dedicated their lives to protect our communities and our nation, fighting against the evils that threaten us and saving us from unexpected tragedies FOR REAL! They are America’s REAL Superheroes! Today, more than ever, they need us as much as we need them. The men and women of our nation’s First Responders and Military personnel are from all backgrounds, nationalities, and races. They are our fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, friends and neighbors, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. They all believe different things about life, but they put those differences aside every day toprotect the freedoms we have in America and to keep our communities safe. The defunding of the police movement, the public attack on the honor of what they do, and the inconsistent support from other city, state, and national leadership have exacerbated the mental health crisis plaguing their ranks for many years. As a result, they are leaving the profession in numbers we have never seen before. Crime across the nation has risen to a level that threatens our ability to exercise the freedoms that allow us to pursue our God-given dreams for our families, communities, and nation without fear. Today, America’s REAL Superheroes need other Superheroes to come to their rescue.

Our mission at USA Superheroes is to address the mental health crisis in the first responder community and change public perception concerning them through inspiration, education, and recreation. Join us, and let’s all be Superheroes to America’s REAL Superheroes!
